A general low down on places of interest Bangkok and Thailand
Bangkok, Thailand has many, many places of interest from temples to Thai boxing (Muay Thai). There are amazing shopping centers and markets to experience and even though the average visitor to Thailand only stays in Bangkok a few days, there is plenty to see and do in this city, better known as "The City of Angels".
The menu above has provided you with some examples of where you can go and what you can see, but during the day, you will want to do the temples so you can get some great photos and during the evenings, you might want to stroll around Lumpini Night Bazaar or take in the frenetic pace of a Thai boxing ( Muay Thai ) match.
Bangkok also has some excellent restaurants and bars and so whatever your taste or plans there will always be somewhere new for you to try.
An example of a good day out might be:
- Breakfast by the river
- Catch the river cruise from Taksin Bridge to The Grand Palace
- An hour or two around The Grand Palace and Wat Po.
- Light lunch around Kao San Road
- Back down the river getting off at Royal Orchid Sheraton to visit River City shopping centre.
- Return to your hotel to relax.
- Enjoy a relaxing massage.
- Enjoy your evening meal at one of the many quality Thai or International restaurants.
- Finish off the evening with a few relaxing drinks whilst taking in some live music which can be found at many of the bars around Bangkok.
