Going to see a movie in Bangkok or Thailand has brought back the enjoyment of seeing movies.
Prices are reasonable and the theaters are truly some of the best in the world with the newest department stores and shopping malls boasting the very best in audio and visual experiences.

For those feeling a little more flush, Bangkok cinemas offer VIP seating where you can sit in a private lounge area before the show begins and then get waited on hand and foot while you sit in an exceptionally comfortable chair that reclines almost flat; and your view never gets impeded.

The latest and greatest has to be at the Siam Paragon in Bangkok which has a theater which actually requires that people with seats on the upper level take a lift. Yes, a lift (elevator). It happened to one of us. We went there. booked tickets, got showed upstairs to the main entrance and were then pointed to the lift and told to go to the second floor !!

Thais love going to the movies and it can get quite busy; especially for movies that have been hyped up and are considered "a must see", but Bangkok has a large number of theaters to choose from and so where ever you live, you will always be fairly near a theater enabling you to catch the latest movies.

REMEMBER: In Thailand, before every main feature, the King's anthem is played and everyone is expected to stand up whilst this plays.
