Whether you are just visiting or living here, Bangkok is an amazing place. In fact, Thailand is an amazing place. There are so many interesting places to visit and so many wonderful places to see and in many cases, people miss what Bangkok has to offer. Bangkok can easily occupy you for a week although we suspect that many visitors stay for just a day or two and then travel either up country or to some of Thailand's numerous beaches. Bangkok, however, has its own gems and if you do some research, you can find a plethora of things to do to keep you busy.
Bangkok, or "Krung Thep" in Thai, is known as the City of Angels. It is the central hub for tourism in South East Asia and millions of people visit or pass through Bangkok on their way to the many beach resorts of Krabi, Phuket, Phi-Phi and Samui ( to name just a few ) or just for a brief stop over on their way to Cambodia, Vietnam or Laos. However you choose to visit Bangkok, you'll find yourself wanting to come back and experience it all over again.
More and more people are visiting Bangkok and Thailand and the expatriate community keeps on growing. This increase in tourism and the growing number of expats has seen Bangkok transform itself into a city that has better transportation, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Bangkok may well be a crowded and noisey city, but the sheer number of places to go and visit as well as the entertainment and nighgtlife certainly make up for it.
The government(s) keep making small steps in improving the general infrastructure but it is still a long way from being a fully developed country with the roads, pavements ( sidewalks ) and parks that other developed countries enjoy.
So now that you are either here or considering coming to Bangkok, we hope that this website will provide you with all the necessary information to help you get settled and get the most out of Bangkok (City of Angels).
The website is in its infancy but we will ensure that it grows daily and that the information contained within increases and becomes ever more detailed so keep coming back to benefit from these changes.
